Darling Downs Power Station

Projects

With the provision of all survey services the responsibility of Pacific Survey, the Darling Downs gas fired power plant was well on track for completion in March 2010.

There were many influences, natural and otherwise, that our surveyors had to contend with on site. One of the more difficult aspects was the severe temperature variation and the impact it had on measurement. Darling Downs experiences huge temperature differences throughout the various seasons, ranging from a chilly -5 degrees Celsius through to a summer peak of 45 degrees Celsius, resulting in some rather challenging situations for our team.

Pacific Survey have been involved with turbine and generator alignment, structural steel works, gantry crane alignment, bulk earthworks, drainage and concrete works.
