Pacific Highway Upgrade, Woolgoolga to Ballina – W2B Section 5

Transport for NSW engaged Pacific Survey to provide a survey solution for the set out of 15km long duplication of the Pacific Highway Upgrade between Maclean and Iluka Road, known as Section 5.

The works in Section 5 comprise the following:

• Clearing, topsoil removal, foundation treatments and bulk earthworks for the mainline carriageways and local road embankments
• Transverse and longitudinal drainage infrastructure for mainline and local road including construction of pipe culverts and reinforced concrete box culverts
• Fauna crossings and furniture
• Foamed bitumen pavement for main line carriageway
• Finishing/Road Furniture works including verge placement, protection barriers, signage, line marking and street lighting
• Tie-in Works to bridges
• Three major interchanges at Yamba Road, Harwood (Watts Lane) and Iluka
• Road, together with upgrade of local roads. East Roundabout at Iluka Road
• Two minor interchanges at Chatsworth North & South
