Herons Creek to Stills Road Pacific Highway Upgrade
Pacific Survey were engaged by BMD to provide a complete surveying solution for the 3.5km upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Herons Creek and Stills Road. The approximate contract value for construction was in excess of $77m.
The project overview included construction of a new motorway standard northbound carriageway, construction of two bridges, 32m and 43m over Herons Creek and a grade separated interchange at Bago Road consisting of a 61m bridge crossing the Pacific Highway.
Our surveyors were responsible for the development of a site control network and the set out and conformance of all aspects of this project including clearing limits, bulk earthworks, pavements, kerbs and gutters, bridges, drainage infrastructure, retaining walls, safety barriers, signage, and line marking.
BMD selected Pacific Survey for this project based on our depth of qualified and experienced staff allowing us to expand and contract with the project requirements as well as our quality, safety and environmental management systems and our modern equipment. We have also experienced a strong relationship and history with BMD on previous projects in Queensland such as the $55m Brisbane Airport New Parallel Runway project, Fitzroy Road Repair project, $66m Bridgeman Road project, Northern Link Legacy Way project and numerous large rail duplication projects.
