Great Western Highway Mount Victoria Safety Upgrade
Ward Group turned to Pacific Survey to provide a site wide surveying solution on the Great Western Highway Mount Victoria Safety Upgrade project. Work commenced in September 2015 on the 1.6km upgrade and widening of the Great Western Highway through the village of Mount Victoria. The project cost is approximately $20m and was completed in 2018. Work inlcuded;
- Removal of existing road infrastructure
- Earthworks, stormwater drainage, subsurface drainage and pavement upgrade
- Construction of 6 retaining walls
- Relocation and protection of multiple utility assets
- Local roads and access tracks reconstruction and property adjustments
- Planting and maintenance of landscaping
- Ancillary works including kerbs and gutters, footpaths, safety barriers, guide posts, pavement marking, signposting and vegetation
