Inner West Busway (Victoria Road)
Pacific Survey has supplied the survey resources for the new three lane bridge over Iron Cove, a side arm of the Parramatta River in Sydney, on the western side of the existing bridge. The bridge has been constructed using the incremental launch method. It is just over 400m in length and the bridge launch was completed on 23rd September 2010. Works currently revolve around the tie-in of the bridge with the road and the finishing works on the bridge.
Along with the bridge work, both the Drummoyne and Rozelle sides of the existing roadway have been re-sheeted and the Quickchange Moveable Barrier system installed so that lanes can be shared to manage peak traffic flows. The bridge is expected to be opened for traffic in January 2011. Following this, there will be restoration works to be completed on King George Park.
