Gibson Island Advanced Water Treatment Plant

Pacific Survey have been contracted to carry out all survey works on the Gibson Island Advanced Water Treatment Plant, with the project due for completion in early 2010.

Two new settling tanks are being constructed, each having a radius of 22.5m and a wall height of 5.1m. Installation of screw piling has recently been completed, leaving the construction of formwork and subsequent pouring of the concrete tank floor and walls next on the agenda. Piping installation will also be incorporated as part of this phase of the project.

Not only are we involved establishing a new control network, we are also assisting with design work on the tanks. A new distribution chamber, connecting pipes and other associated services are still to come.
